PantoneMugsGroup2If you are a designer of any discipline, I can safely say that you have probably come across the Pantone colour matching system at some point. I remember my first time just as if it were yesterday – using Letraset Pantone markers for a first year uni assignment. Haha sounds like I’m reminiscing time spent with an ex-girlfriend.

Well thanks to Whitbread Wilkinson, the designers of the Pantone Mugs, I can now enjoy a bit of Pantone colour goodness with every meal (and unlike an ex-girlfriend I’d be stoked to see them everyday!). The mugs, inspired by Pantone Colour charts, are glazed with a pattern resembling the iconic Pantone Colour Chip and colour reference number.

For more Pantone inspired products check out the Whitbread Wilkinson website here.

  1. Hi Aidan,

this is Merel from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I’m a (interior)architecture student and thorougly enjoy your blog. Find it very inspirational. Having just travelled south east Asia myself, the Halong Bay picture made me smile. (check out my travelpics on my blog: http://www.meera.reismee.nl) Before your blog I never realised such great architects come from Australia (Maynard), that’s a real eyeopener. Keep up the good work!

(ps my website with work from artschool etc. will be in the air soon)

    • Hi Merel,

Thanks for the kind words. I enjoyed browsing your photos – we went to a number of the same places. Was cool seeing some of the things that I photographed from someone elses perspective. Oh and I’m jealous – you got a better sunrise at Angkor Wat than me! Was totally cloudy when I was there. Can’t expect too much from the weather at that time of the year though :)

Keep me posted when your artschool website is up.

      Aidan

  2. I love pantone mugs, I have about 8 of them. I’m a great lover of colour (i can never choose my favorite), so it feels like I’m sampling one at each drink. Plus, the mug itself has a nice size handle and could liquid capacity.

  3. LOVE these mugs. saw them in an uncommon goods catalog a while back and am planning to order a couple soon… what a great way to infuse a punch of color into my otherwise boring cubicle! thanks for sharing.
